Item Summary:
The Oak Street Streetscape Project, Phase I, has 5 parcels and is in the right-of-way negotiation stage. Parcels 1, 2 and 4 were approved by Mayor and City Council on October 5, 2009. Parcel 5 has now been negotiated and approved by the owner.
The engineering consultant, Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT), has completed the design and their sub-contractor, BM&K, is ready to begin acquiring right-of-way. The total costs include fee simple, permanent easement and site improvement costs.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On October 21, 2009 the Community Development & Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the November 2, 2009 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in the amount of $150,000 is approved and available for right-of-way acquisition in cost center 7323G1, account 541100, project 06GRA004.
