Body
Item Summary:
Target Corporation has invited the Roswell Police Department to apply for a sponsorship grant award in the amount of $5,000. The proposed project will purchase a FLIR (Forward Looking Infra-Red) Systems thermal imager unit for the Field Services Division of the Roswell Police Department. The unit enables law enforcement officers to see suspects in total darkness, through smoke, and light foliage. A FLIR handheld allows the officer to see the suspect, without revealing the officer's location. The FLIR unit will assist officers in the field and suppress crime, reduce loss, and ensure that the officers have access to the latest tools and technology available.
