Item Summary:
The purpose of this project is to install a new 8-inch ductile iron waterline along Swaybranch Drive, approximately 1,400 linear feet in length, to provide a loop in the system between Market Place and Warsaw Road. This will help to improve pressure and flows in the area.
 
Invitation to Bid #10-049B was issued and 11 bids were received ranging from $91,950 to $168,913. Strickland Pipeline and Construction, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $91,950.
 
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
Due to time constraints for this project, there was not time to present this item to Committee.  Staff recommends approval.
 
Financial Impact:
$104,534 is currently available for this project through the CDBG-R grant in Cost Center 4440S1, Account 541420 and Project #-09ENV022.
