Item Summary:

There is a need to update and clarify the existing designated truck route ordinance based on current city limits and roadway improvements. The ordinance was last updated in 2002. Since then the City has annexed new land areas and new road construction is being completed which triggers the need for the update.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:

On February 24, 2010 the Community Development & Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the March 1, 2010 Mayor and Council Agenda.  On March 1, 2010 Mayor and Council approved the first reading of this Ordinance.
