Item Summary:
The revision to the City's Traffic Calming Policy dated November 3, 2008 adds a Section # 7 to the policy describing Exceptions to the Policy to address situations outside of local streets.  For example, the newly completed Mimosa Boulevard Extension has a raised crosswalk which is a collector street.  The revision also allows for a case by case analysis of any future implementations of this nature.   The revision eliminates any reference to the term "cut-through". This term is not nationally recognized as a traffic term and can cause confusion in interpretation of the policy.

On July 22, 2009 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the August 3, 2009 Mayor and Council Agenda.
