Item Summary:
The Coca-Cola Curbside Accleration Recycling Program grant in the amount of $100,000 is aimed at increasing the curbside recycling rates, specifically plastic bottles and aluminum cans. The City intends to partner with Community Waste Services (CWS), the City's current curbside recycling provider, and Keep Roswell Beautiful to implement the grant.
 
The grant funds will be used to hire a Public Relations firm to assist in developing a comprehensive education plan along with an incentive program to encourage residents to increase their curbside recycling and lower the amount of household garbage they produce.  CWS has given an in-kind donation of the 65-gallon recycling containers valued at over $1,000,000.
