Item Summary:
The Charleston Oaks HOA has submitted an application for project funding in the amount of $45,000 through the L&P Partnership Program. The City portion, if approved, is $22,500 and is to be used for removing accumulated sediment in the pond in accordance with the objectives of the L&P Partnership Program. Staff has evaluated the benefits of the dredging in light of the program objectives and recommends inclusion in the program.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On January 14, 2014 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the Mayor and Council Agenda subject to approval by the Soil Erosion Fund Committee. The Soil Erosion Fund Committee considers use of its funds on January 27, 2014.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 24071301-01-27-14, funds in the amount of $22,500 will be available for this project in Org 24071301, Object 541200, Project 85002. The estimated remaining Soil and Erosion Fund, fund balance will be $144,617.
