Item Summary:
The SR 140 (Holcomb Bridge Rd) ATMS and SR 92 (Crossville Rd/Woodstock Rd) ATMS projects will include traffic management features to improve traffic flow and monitoring capabilities. The project limit for SR 140 ATMS is from SR 9 to Barnwell Rd and for SR 92 ATMS is from SR 9 to Cobb County Line. The City has secured 80% Federal funds for construction; however, concept, design and 20% construction match remain the City's responsibility for both projects. Estimated amounts for concept and design phase are allocated in the City's current fiscal year for both projects. Per the latest schedule, let date for both projects is scheduled for June 2012.

On February 24, 2010 the Community Development & Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the March 1, 2010 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $300,000 are available in the SR140 ATMS Project, Cost Center 4210CP, Account # 541415, Project 08TRA005. Additionally funds in the amount of 150,000 are available in the SR92 ATMS Project, Cost Center 4210CP, Account #541415, Project 09TRA005 for a total of $450,000 for the concept and design of these two projects.
