These funds will be used to extend Sway Branch Drive to connect with Market Place in a CDBG target neighborhood. Fulton County advertised and held a public comment period to amend Fulton County's Consolidated Plan for CDBG, and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners held the item at their April 7, 2010 meeting. The Board of Commissioners approved the grant agreement on May 19, 2010.

On May 19, 2010 the Community Development & Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the June 14, 2010 Mayor and Council Agenda.

Financial Impact:

Upon approval of the Grant award and Budget Amendment 4224G1-06-14-10, funds in the amount of $117,627.69 will be available in the grant cost center, account 541415, project 10GRA010.
