Body
Item Summary:
GDOT initiated the RTOP program recently to improve traffic signal operations on major regionally significant corridors in the metro Atlanta area. SR140 and SR92 are identified as one of the first priority corridors among the regionally significant corridors identified in their plan.

The City Transportation Department with the help of GDOT and their consultant will actively manage these corridors to oversee signal timings and equipment maintenance. The goal is to reduce congestion and delays through improved traffic signal operations. In Roswell, the program will start with SR 140 and SR 92 corridor and will later include SR 9. There are no local funds involved, but City staff will be joining forces with the GDOT team for corridor management including monitoring and maintenance work.
