Body
Item Summary:
The City of Roswell and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) have an executed Project Framework Agreement (PFA) for the Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) projects for SR140 (HBR) and SR92. The concept of the project includes traffic monitoring devices, adaptive traffic control systems, and travel time stations.

Late last year, the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) approached the City with available funding for projects which were already underway that would potentially benefit GA 400 by improving regional accessibility and mobility. The City submitted a request for an additional $574,000 for the project. The additional funds will fund the entire SR140 corridor and fill the previous funding gap.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On May 25, 2011 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the June 13, 2011 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 4272G-06-13-2011 funds in the amount of $574,000 will be available in the grant account.  $114,800 will be available for design and $459,200 for construction.
