Item Summary:

The City of Roswell and the NFCID have an opportunity to partner on the Sun Valley Connector project traffic analysis which is an integral step in master planning the road network.

 

The analysis will project traffic volumes, help set the alignment of key intersections and determine the number of lanes needed.  The  NFCID will contract with a consultant for the traffic analysis and coordinate with the City of Roswell.  The $56,000 cost for the traffic analysis will be split 50/50 between the NFCID and the City of Roswell.   

 

The NFCID will consider approval of the Project Agreement at their meeting scheduled for June 14, 2011. 

 

Committee or Staff Recommendation:

On April 27, 2011 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on a future Mayor and Council Agenda.

 

Financial Impact:

Funds in the amount of $267,404.58 are approved and available in Sun Valley Extension Project, Cost Center 4210CP, Account #541415, Project #11TRA001.
