Item Summary:
Final Hearing. Holcomb Center is an existing shopping center with 107,000 square feet of retail space. The applicant is proposing the following updates to the design in order to accommodate a new 40,000 square foot Studio Movie Grill theater:
· A new entrance feature to the primary tenant space
· Upscale façade renovations for the rest of the shopping center
· New landscape improvements
The Roswell Design Review Board approved the buildings but had the following comments at their July 7, 2009 meeting regarding the proposed site work:
· Take into consideration the departmental comments regarding bio-retention cells for storm water management and add appropriate landscaping
· Consider consolidating parking islands to give more room for bigger trees
· Remove some of the Bradford Pear and Silver Maple trees and replace with more appropriate kind of tree
The applicant has responded to the DRBs comments by proposing new bio-retention cells and consolidated parking islands on the site plan.
