Description:
The Atlanta Regional Commission programmed $25 million of MARTA capital funds in return for funding MARTA Operations in 2009. The City of Roswell is eligible to program $1,674,500 in capital improvements that enhance or augment the existing MARTA bus service in the City of Roswell. An Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) was executed for this project in the amount of $924,500 for design and construction.
This project will design sidewalk/crosswalk improvements to fill gaps at three locations. Revised Figure 3 shows these locations:
• Location #7 - Old Roswell Road (west side), north of Holcomb Bridge Road at the existing culvert
• Location #14 - Atlanta Street (SR 9), crosswalk improvements between Canton Street and City Hall property
• Location #25 - Norcross Street (north side), between Canton Street and SR 9

Funds in the amount of $729,297.20 are approved and available in Cost Center 5540G1, Account #541415, Project #10TRA007, Project Marta Offset Funds - Pedestrian Improvements.
