Staff Report:
Background
The applicant is requesting to expand their buildings and add additional parking to an existing church site. The existing square footage of building area is roughly 9,000 and they are proposing to have a total of 21,100 square feet. Parking spaces will be added to accommodate increase in building area.
Site Plan Analysis
The site plan shows the expansion of the parking area as well as the new footprint of the buildings.
Landscape Plan Analysis
The plan shows the addition of Chinese Pistache, Wildfire Black Gum, Nuttal Oak, Lacebark Elm, Brackens Brown Beauty Magnolia, Natchez Crape as well as other shrubs. Total tree density units required are 147, the plans shows 296.2 TDUs.
Elevations
The elevations show an addition of a stone veneer base and stone watertable around the entire building. The expansion will match the existing, with the exception of a different color EIFS on the first floor of the east, west and south elevation and will also have a different EIFS band across the top of these elevations (to match the first floor). The north elevation likewise has a different EIFS for the first floor and matching band higher on the elevation, but has the original EIFS color above that.
Design Guidelines
The site is regulated by the Citywide design guidelines.
