Item Summary:
The Lowe's/KAB grant partnership program will award 20 Spotlight Project Grants in the amount of $20,000 each. These grants will be awarded in two payments. An initial $18,000 award will be made with a $2,000 reimbursement once the project is complete and final reports are submitted. KRB will provide $2,000 match up front and will receive the reimbursement of $2,000 at the completion of the project.
The application is required to be for a high impact project in the community with focus on litter prevention, beautification or community greening as well as any waste reduction/recycling efforts. The City of Roswell and KRB have identified a project to expand the Community Garden program with the Recreation and Parks Department to include a new area for the gardens.

On April 10, 2012 the Administration and Finance & Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this item on the April 23, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
