Item Summary:
The Hembree Road Multi-use Path project requires the removal of one specimen tree on private property. City standards require the project to compensate for removing the 24-inch pecan tree on the Ford property. City staff has designed tree planting plans that include installing seven (7) Nuttall Oak trees in the 5-foot landscape strip between the multi-use path and Hembree Road. The contractor will water the trees for one year until they are established. After that the City will maintain the right of way.

On May 30, 2012 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the June 11, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $57,626 are available in the Tree Planting Program Account, ORG 10011100, OBJ 579003, Project 95001.
