Item Summary:
Request for Proposals (RFP) #12-272-B was issued and seven (7) proposals were received. The RFP was structured to include three (3) fields for funding approved in the FY 2013 budget and an add alternate for additional fields based on the passing of the November 2012 Bond Referendum. The proposals were evaluated using criteria such as qualifications of the firm, similar project experience, and project understanding and methodology. Medallion Athletics was the most responsive, responsible proposer in the amount of $3,053,754.
The synthetic turf fields will be installed as follows: Roswell Area Park Football Fields #6 & #7 and Waller Park Extension Upper Field for Winter/Spring. For Summer, Roswell Area Park Football Field #2, Waller Park Extension Lower Field, and East Roswell Multi-Use Fields #1 and #2.

On December 19, 2012 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the January 14, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
A total of $3,500,000 has been approved for the synthetic turf fields project; $2,000,000 from the approved Bond referendum in Org 31261101, object 541210, project 60030 and $1,500,000 in Org 35062000, object 541210, project 60030.
