Public Works/Environmental
Body
Item Summary:
America Recycles Day is asking government offices and other businesses to take the Recycling At Work Pledge.  The Pledge states that the entity will increase recycling of materials generated in the workplace by 10 percent by 2015 utilizing a variety of approaches.

This action will pledge the City of Roswell to work to achieve these goals within government facilities.  The City is already doing much of what is required to meet the goals in the Pledge.  The Recycling Center has a way to record the pounds of recycling collected from City facilities so comparisons can be made each of the 12 months.

On July 9, 2013 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the July 22, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
There is no cost to participate or to take the Pledge.
