Officer Joshua Avren and Officer Paul Reid have earned the Life Saving Medal for their meritorious actions on June 27, 2013 and December 28, 2013, respectively.  Due to the swift and decisive actions by these officers, they were directly responsible for prolonging the life of each of the victims by rendering life saving CPR, allowing them to be released into the care of trained medical professionals.
