Item Summary:
Invitation to Bid #14-072-C was issued and three (3) bids were received with costs ranging from $95,980 to $139,741. In April, Mayor and Council approved awarding the contract to the lowest bidder; however, the lowest bidder withdrew from the project prior to signing the contract. Lori's Transportation was the next lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $133,635.52. Georgia DOT approved awarding to the next lowest bidder and has provided a revised GDOT Construction Agreement.
This project consists of extending the westbound left-turn lane along SR 140 approximately 240 feet and modifying the median to improve the left turn radius.

On June 25, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the June 30, 2014 Special Called Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $141,500.00 will be available in the Grant Project Account; 22142200, 541415, 91010.
