Item Summary:
The current Citywide Resurfacing contract is an annual contract with Blount Construction Company, Inc. effective from May 1, 2014 through April 30, 2015 with a renewal option. The initial contract amount was $1,069,320.
A substantial completion of the resurfacing of all streets shown on the initial list is expected by the end of June 2014. A change order is recommended to the Blount Construction contract in the amount of $900,000 for resurfacing of additional streets from the approved list.

On June 25, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the June 30, 2014 Special Called Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $1,733,933 are available in the Resurfacing project account, ORG 35042200, OBJ 522205, Project 90001
