Item Summary:
This agreement between the agencies is to enforce laws prohibiting trafficking in narcotics and dangerous drugs. This agreement provides for one Roswell Police Officer to be assigned to the Task Force Group 4 for a period of not less than two years. During this assignment, the Roswell Police Officer will work under the direct supervision and control of DEA supervisory personnel assigned to the Task Force.

On July 15, 2014 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this item on the July 28, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
During the period of assignment, the City of Roswell will remain responsible for the salary and benefits, including overtime of the officer assigned to the Task Force and for making all payments due them. The DEA reimburses the City for overtime up to 25% of the officer's salary, subject to availability of funds.
