Title
Approval of a Resolution to approve the reallocation of the Recreation and Parks Department's remaining Program Year (PY) 2012 and Program Year (PY) 2013 CDBG allocations.
Presented by Michael Fischer, Deputy City Administrator
Body
Item Summary:
The Recreation and Parks Department has unexpended PY2012 and PY2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $91,206.55. These funds were initially allocated for Phase II improvements to the Adult Recreation Center, but that planning process is still ongoing, and the funds must be spent to comply with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) timeliness regulations. The reallocation of funds would be used to construct one picnic pavilion and two shade structures at the Waller Park Extension.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On July 15, 2014, the Administration, Finance, Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the July 28, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval, $91,206.55 will be re-allocated from the Adult Recreation Center Phase II project to the Waller Park Extension Improvement project within the CDBG Grant Fund in Org 22570101, Object 541210, Project 18003.

Michael Fischer, Deputy City Administrator
