Body
Item Summary:
The North Fulton Regional Radio System is a partnership between the cities of Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton and Sandy Springs. Together these Cities comprise the North Fulton Regional Radio System Authority (NFRRSA).  The NFRRSA was created by the State Legislature in 2013 to provide an interoperable, high quality, reliable and uninterrupted radio communication system for public safety and public services.  To achieve optimal coverage from the new radio system, towers must be strategically located at sites that provide the highest elevation and coverage of the local terrain.  There are three proposed tower sites in Roswell that provide the required elevation and coverage:  City owned property on Fouts Road, Roswell Fire Station #6 on Cox Road, and the fleet/transportation yard on Hembree Road.  The Hembree Road site was approved on August 12, 2013.  These sites are all owned by the City of Roswell and would be leased to the NFRRSA for construction and operation of a radio communication system.

The proposed radio tower on Fouts Road will be approximately 350' in height and will be located on the back of the property closest to the East Roswell Park property.
