Item Summary:

Upon review of the Fund Equity Policy, the external auditors noted that a staff position was required to be named as the person responsible for assignment of resources of the fund balance that need to be classified as assigned. This amendment to the "Assigned Fund Balance" section of the policy will authorize the Finance Director to approve assignments of resources for the fund balance that are not classified as non-spendable, restricted, or committed.
