Roswell DOT has been implementing sidewalk connectivity projects throughout the City for years.  Staff is working on a status report to explain where the City is in the process.  Staff is developing evaluation criteria and grading the City's progress in various areas.  Currently, the sidewalk program has three (3) main categories:  1)  neighborhoods within a half (1/2) mile of schools and parks; 2) sidewalk requests from citizens; and 3) sidewalk projects in the City of Roswell Transportation Master Plan generated by staff. At the completion of this study, staff will present the status of the completed sidewalk program and projects; a cost estimate to achieve construction of these projects or to achieve certain milestones; and more complete data to prioritize and fund these projects in the future.
