Item Summary:
Invitation to Bid #11-165B was issued and two (2) bids were received ranging from $84,470 to $104,360. Daytech Limited was the lowest, most responsive responsible bidder in the amount of $84,470.
The Bus Stop Amenities project includes improvements at 25 existing bus stop locations. Ten of these locations will be bus shelters. The other fifteen locations will be Simme-Seats. The contract amount requested is for purchase and delivery of all 10 required shelters. There will be NO advertising associated with these shelters. A MARTA bus route schedule will be posted inside the shelter.

On April 27, 2011 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item directly on the Mayor and Council Agenda after the bids were received.
Financial Impact:
$175,462 is approved and available in Cost Center 5540G1, Account #541415, Project #11TRA005, Project Marta Offset Funds - Bus Stop Amenities. Upon approval $90,992 will be remaining in the project.
