Title

Approval of a Resolution to transfer Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the Arts Village Project to the Adult Recreation Center (ARC) Expansion Project in the amount of $120,712.43.

Body

Item Summary:

There is $120,712.43 available in the Arts Village Project CDBG allocation because of the low bid on the Oxbo Apartments.   Given that the low bid was substantially less than the FY10 CDBG allocation, the additional funds can be transferred to the FY11 CDBG ARC project.  Fulton County has approved the request to transfer the remaining CDBG funds to another project.  This transfer is contingent upon the consummation of the demolition contract.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:

On August 9, 2011 the Administration and Finance and Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this item on the August 22, 2011 Mayor and Council Agenda.

Financial Impact:

Reduces City funds needed for the Adult Recreation Center expansion by $120,712.43.
