Item Summary:
Participation in this grant requires eight (8) municipalities and Fulton County to enter into a MOU. Grant funds may be used for technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, and contractual support, to improve or enhance law enforcement programs. Funding received by the City will be used for the purchase and upgrade of radio communications equipment.  No matching funds are required. Awards are made in the first fiscal year of the appropriation and may be expended during the following three (3) years, for a total of four (4) grant period years. The City of Atlanta will be administering the grant on behalf of all recipients for five percent (5%) of the total grant award. The Fulton County Superior Court will receive twenty-three percent (23%) of the total grant award for adjudication of Part I felony cases. This is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ( ARRA) grant.
