Item Summary:
A call for applications was issued and seven applications were received for the FY 2015 Contract for Cultural Services (CFCS) Program.  All applicants were required to attend a CFCS workshop to learn about how to submit an application and about the program requirements.  A "Peer Review Panel" of professional representatives of the disciplines of the various applicant organizations was convened.  The following contracts were approved by the Roswell Arts Commission:
 
Atlanta Wind Symphony                  $2,500
Friends of Roswell Library                  $2,000
Georgia Ensemble Theater                  $6,000
Michael O'Neal Singers                  $4,000
Riverside Chambers Players            $3,000
Teaching Museum North                  $3,500
Atlanta Dance Theater                  $4,000
TOTAL                              $25,000
 
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On October 7, 2014, the Roswell Arts Commission approved the contracts recommended by the Peer Review Panel.  
 
On October 14, 2014 the Administration, Finance, Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the October 27, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
 
Financial Impact:
Funding in the amount of $25,000 is available in Org 10061700 and Object 521400.
