Mr. Jeff Lovell is appealing Section 2.1.6A, Standard Construction Specifications, to allow a second driveway curb cut on a lot with less than 200 feet of frontage. The property is at 1220 Oakhaven Drive in the Brookfield Country Club Subdivision. The subject property has 150 feet of frontage, which is less than the required 200 feet of frontage. The current ingress and egress is very limited in its functionality and is unsafe when exiting the property. He would like to complete the additional driveway. This will provide space for parking, therefore keeping parked autos off of Oakhaven Drive.
The City of Roswell Standard Construction Specifications (Section 2.1.6.A) states that when the property frontage is less than 200 feet, only one driveway shall be considered for approval. Therefore, he is appealing the requirement for the 200 feet of frontage to allow for a second driveway. Roswell's Department of Transportation has reviewed the design and has no concerns with this request.
