Item Summary:
Ten (10) City sponsorship applications were submitted for special events between July and December 2013. The Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended approving nine (9) special events for City sponsorship. Two special events are organized by the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) and would come from the earmarked $10,000 for the CNC. The remaining seven special events total an estimated cost of $16,875.52.

On May 29, 2013 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the June 10, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The FY 2014 Approved Budget includes $60,000 for City Sponsorship of Special Events in Org 10061701 and Object 539999. With $10,000 earmarked for Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) special events and approval of the remaining seven special events, the special events budget would have $33,124.48 remaining.
