Body
Item Summary:
Due to the linkage between the water plant and Waller Park, specifically the potential impacts to the usage of the park and the close proximity of the tank location to the park, consideration of a more detailed Master Plan for the Park was discussed at the February 12, 2013 Public Safety and Public Works Committee regarding adding a scope of work to the Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. water plant design contract.  The scope of work would involve developing a master plan for the Waller Park area, which includes Waller Park and extension, Grimes Bridge Park, and the Vickery Creek area along Oxbo Road.  The scope of work will be incorporated with current Recreation and Parks plans for the park area, along with public input on the conceptual master plan.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On February 25, 2013 Mayor and Council deferred this item to the March 11, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Estimated project cost is $14,500 and will be allocated from General Fund Operating Contingency.  Upon approval of Budget Amendment 10061101-03-11-13, $14,500 will be available in ORG: 10061101, Object 521201, and $23,523.92 will be remaining in General Fund Operating Contingency.
