Item Summary:
RFP #13-149-C was issued for selection of a legal organ for newspaper legal notices and advertisement. Three proposals were received on May 29, 2013 from the following: Neighbor Newspapers (Roswell Neighbor), Appen Media Group (Alpharetta Roswell Revue and News), and Fulton County Daily Report. The Neighbor Newspapers was the most responsive, responsible proposer with a per column inch cost of $10.00. The Neighbor Newspapers is the current Legal Organ for the City.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On June 26, 2013 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the July 8, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The current contract for Legal Notices and Advertisements is for $10 per column inch and the City has expensed $27,000 for FY 2013 with Neighbor Newspapers. The new contract is proposed at $10 per column inch.
