Item Summary:

The applicant is requesting a steep slope variance to Article 7, Section 7.3.4 of the City Code and an additional five (5) foot variance to the front setback. This will allow for a house to be built on the lot meeting the requirements of the covenants of the subdivision.

 

The Mayor and City Council deferred this item on March 14, 2011 to the April 11, 2011 meeting to allow time for the applicant to meet with the Environmental/Public Works Department.

 

Committee or Staff Recommendation:

The staff recommends approval of both the steep slope variance and the five foot front setback variance for a front setback of 25' on Lot 4. The City Engineer and the PW/Environmental Department recommend approval of the proposed variances with the amendment provided by the applicant with the Planning Division conditions.
