Body
Item Summary:
LMIG funding is dependent on the General Assembly's budget for the fiscal year and is allocated by a specific formula based on population and centerline miles of paved roads. In September 2013, the City submitted an application to GDOT requesting LMIG funds to resurface Old Alabama Road, Old Roswell Road and Old Mountain Park Road. GDOT has agreed to pay up to $626,995.26 to resurface these roads. The amount of $626,995.26 represents the City of Roswell's share of the LMIG budget based on the approved formula, not on the condition of the pavement. The total estimated cost for resurfacing these roads is $840,000.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On February 3, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 22042200-02-10-14, $626,995.26 will be available in the Resurfacing Grant Account in Org 22042200, object 541415, project 91009.
