Body
Item Summary:
GDOT has programmed funding to implement the short-term project #2 identified in the HBR Corridor Study. This project includes extending the westbound left-turn lane to southbound SR 400, adding a second right-turn lane on the northbound off-ramp, modifying the traffic signal system, and reconfiguring the eastbound travel lanes to remove the "left-turn trap lane" at Old Alabama Road.

This is a 100% GDOT funded operational improvement project. To expedite the project, GDOT is partnering with the City. The City will provide local oversight of design, right-of-way (if any), and construction. The PFA with GDOT establishes the project budget and responsibilities.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On November 13, 2012 the Administration, Finance, Recreation & Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the November 26, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
