Item Summary:

This grant will be used for the implementation of a software program specifically focused on documenting training and preparedness exercises and identifying deficiencies in these areas for police and 911 center personnel.  The system will track required training to assure goals, objectives, and proficiency levels for individuals and units within the Police Department are met.

On October 11, 2011 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the October 24, 2011 Mayor and Council Agenda.

Financial Impact:

There is no City match required.  Budget Amendment 3210G1-10-24-11 will set up grant revenue and expenditures in the amount of $17,952 in Grant Cost Center 3210G1, Project #12GRA003-11 JAG Software Grant.
