Item Summary:
The consolidation/feasibility study will review options for consideration to consolidate City of Roswell E911 operations with ChatComm. iXP Corporation is the provider of public safety communications services for the cities of Sandy Springs, Johns Creek, and Dunwoody.
The objectives of the study are to develop a business case for the feasibility of integrating current operations into ChatComm, cost containment, maintaining or improving service levels, improved efficiency, and updating technology.

On April 12, 2011 the Public Safety & Public Works Committee recommended placing this item on the April 25, 2011 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 3800-04-25-11, funds in the amount of $75,130 will be added to Cost Center 3800, Account Number 521201. After approval of this Budget Amendment, the Fund Balance for E911, Fund 215, will be $1,560,000.
