Item Summary:
The City is seeking approval for a Transportation Enhancement (TE) Grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). This TE project was originally the Multi-Use Trail Connection at Holcomb Bridge Road project. The funds have been reallocated to the Roswell Riverwalk Trail Connection - Phase IV project (RRTCPIV).
The estimated costs for the project are $2,450,000. Federal funds account for $1,960,000 and City matching funds account for $490,000. The revised scope approved by GDOT includes construction of a 12-foot Multi-Use Trail and wooden boardwalk.
The City will be responsible for all professional engineering, right-of-way costs, utility relocation costs and construction costs above any federal award.

On August 10, 2010 the Administration and Finance & Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this item on the August 23, 2010 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendement 6220G1-08-23-10 grant funding of $1,960,000 will be available in Cost Center 6220G1, Account 541210, Project 04REC001. The required City match of $490,000 is approved and available in Cost Center 9820, Account 541210, Project 04REC001. Currently, the 2000 Bond has an estimated available balance of $1,203,581 programmed for the development of Roswell Riverwalk in Project 04REC001.
