Item Summary:
The applicant is applying for a license to operate a sidewalk cafe in front of Ceviche. The applicant also requests permission to fill in the one street parking space located in front of the restaurant. This work would be completed at the applicant's expense. The applicant has completed all the special requirements set forth in the license application and is now seeking approval of a Sidewalk Cafe License from the Mayor and City Council.
 
The Mayor and City Council reviewed a master parking plan for the Canton Street area at the Community Development and Transportation Committee on June 17, 2009, and recommended that the applicant be allowed to fill in the parking space in front of their location.
 
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
Staff has reviewed the application for 963 Canton Street and deems it complete and recommends approval with the following conditions:
 
1. The applicant shall fill in the parking space as indicated on the plan labeled "Staff Recommendation 7.8.2009."
 
2. The applicant shall obtain a license for land use from the City of Roswell and all applicable permits from the Transportation Department prior to construction.
 
3. The post and chain barrier and all cafe furniture shall meet the pre-approved specifications set forth by the Historic Preservation Commission.
