Item Summary:
Invitation to Bid #13-010-B was issued and fifteen (15) bids were received with costs ranging from $88,357.55 to $217,824.80. Four bids were either rejected or disqualified based on procurement requirements and reference checks. PE Structures and Associates, LLC was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $105,481.01.
This project will construct a sidewalk to close a gap at the culvert along the west side of Old Roswell Road, approximately 500 feet north of Commerce Parkway. The project includes constructing a concrete side barrier at the creek crossing. The project was bid with one add-alternate component. The 97-foot long concrete side barrier will have a rustic ashlar pattern imprinted into the concrete face on the side visible from the road.

On January 30, 2013 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the February 11, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The base bid is $96,754.01 and the add alternate is $8,727 for a total of $105,481.01. Funds in the amount of $ 248,458.95 are approved and available in the Sidewalk Connectivity Project Account, ORG 35042200, OBJ 541415, Project 92003. Upon approval $142,977.94 will be remaining in the Sidewalk Connectivity Project.
