Body
Item Summary:
This project was originally approved in 2010 to address water quality issues in Roswell Area Park that impact Crossville Creek, which is listed as an impaired waterway on the Georgia 303(d) list. The design includes 4 BMP's using Low Impact Design, and all permits have been obtained.  It is most economical and efficient to install all of the BMP's at the same time. An additional $100,000 from undesignated stormwater utility fund balance would fund the completion of all 4 BMP's. This project is supported by the Recreation and Parks Department as an enhancement to Roswell Area Park.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On March 11, 2014 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the March 24, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 50743200-03-24-14, $100,000 will be appropriated from the Stormwater Fund fund balance and transferred to the grant.  This budget amendment also authorizes an increase of $100,000 in the grant revenue budget in Org 22143200, Object 391201, Project 88003 and the grant expenditure budget in Org 22143200, Object 521400, and Project 88003.
