Item Summary:
The Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia is administered by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and assists Georgia businesses in using continuous improvement tools to reach better environmental results and a better bottom line. It provides Partners free assistance, opportunities to connect with other leaders, and recognition for sustainability efforts. The program is free and open to any business or organization that operates in Georgia. There are four levels of Partnership: Champion, Bronze, Silver and Gold. The City will be pursuing a Champion Level partnership.  The requirements of Champion Level partnership include promoting the program and sustainability through an educational newsletter, articles, and/or workshops.  Other governments currently participating are Chatham County - Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission - Fall/2008; Bartow County - Fall/2008; City of Savannah - Fall/2008; City of Atlanta - Spring/2004.
