Body

Item Summary:

The driveway at the City of Roswell Transfer Station is in poor condition and needs to be repaved. The majority of the driveway where the large Sanitation trucks drive and turn to dispose of the waste inside the transfer station house is crumbling due to heavy equipment as well as aging and exposure to the elements. Staff from Transportation, Purchasing and Public Works/Environmental have coordinated and provided exact specifications which will help to extend the life of the new driveway.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:

Due to timing constraints for this project, there was not adequate time for this item to be presented to the Public Works and Public Safety Committee meeting on September 15, 2009.

Financial Impact:

Upon approval of the budget amendment, funding in the amount of $99,332.75 will be available in Cost Center 451F and Account 541200.  The balance of working capital (fund balance) after this transaction will be approximately $9,000,000.
