Title
Recognition of Safe Teen Driver Education Program.
Body
Item Summary:
Five members of the Leadership North Fulton (LNF) class of 2009 have partnered with the Safe America Foundation to create a first-ever driver education program for North Fulton.  The first class, with 40 openings for students to take the State-required safe driving course, is being held at Hembree Recreation Center this June.  LNF has worked with the Roswell Recreation Department and Fire Department to establish a Safe Teen Driver Education Program utilizing first responders as driving instructors.  The training program is in response to Joshua's Law that now requires 16 year olds to complete a formal driver education course prior to obtaining a license.
