Item Summary:
The Gilhams Lake HOA L&P Partnership program application was approved June 11, 2012 in the amount of $100,000 for removing accumulated sediment at Gilhams Lake.  A request has been received from the HOA to increase the approved amount by $50,000 for a total of $150,000.
 
It has been determined that 80% of the sediment load in Gilhams Lake comes from Roswell.  The estimate of $150,000 will cover that, plus an allowance for contingencies.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On November 12, 2013 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the Mayor and Council Agenda subject to approval by the Soil Erosion Fund Committee.  The Soil Erosion Fund Committee considers use of its funds on November 25, 2013.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 24071301-11-25-13, funds in the amount of $150,000 will be available for this project; $116,200 in Org 24071301, Object 541200, Project 84013 and $33,800 in Org 35071100, Object 541200, Project 84013.  Upon approval of this action, the estimated available Soil and Erosion Fund, fund balance will be $167,117.
