Body
Item Summary:
The SR 9 ATMS (Advanced Traffic Management System) project is a joint project between the cities of Sandy Springs (project manager), Alpharetta, and Roswell. The design for the project has been completed to install adaptive traffic signal controls, traffic monitoring cameras, and traffic control center equipment. The cities had an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for the design phase of the project. Now there is a need for an IGA for the construction phase. The construction phase of the project is 100% Federally funded through the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
As the project manager, Sandy Springs recently bid the project and received three bids. Staff from the three cities agreed to the lowest bidder, Midasco LLC in the amount of $3,479,524.00. The City of Sandy Springs has asked each city to help cover the costs of the construction invoices and will reimburse each City as they receive reimbursement from GDOT. The City of Roswell's share is $1,357,014.36.
