Item Summary:
The JCI Foundation is requesting sponsorship for their 3rd annual Judson Collegiate Invitational.  This event is usually held in July but because of construction upgrades to the golf facility the date for this event has moved to June 26 through June 30, 2014.  Because the construction schedule was released after the sponsorship deadline for events held between January 2014 and June 2014, this sponsorship application was submitted after the deadline.
 
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On February 19, 2014 the Administration, Finance, Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the February 24, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
 
Financial Impact:
The FY 2014 Approved Budget includes $60,000 for City Sponsorship of Special Events in Org 10061701, Object 539999.  To date, all funds have been allocated to previously approved events.  Upon approval of Budget Amendment 10061701-02-24-14, $2,700 will be transferred from the General Fund Operating Contingency, which has a balance of $225,503.17.
